I am the founder of My Journey Consulting, LLC, where I partner with schools to strengthen teaching, leadership, and resilience through both instructional expertise and grief-informed practices.
Over the past 20+ years, I have served as a teacher, principal, district administrator, instructional consultant, COO, and adjunct faculty for several universities. These roles have given me the opportunity to coach teachers, develop leaders, and support schools in building systems that help students and staff succeed. In addition, I am a certified grief coach, walking alongside both individuals and schools as they navigate trauma, loss, and resilience. My work also includes delivering keynotes, leading professional presentations, offering student lyceums, and partnering with faith-based institutions to equip educators and communities with tools for both instructional growth and compassionate response to loss.
My personal story is a central part of my work. My husband Doug and I live on our family farm with our daughter Mara, and we carry forward the memory of our daughter Molly, who was 17 when she passed away in a tragic accident in 2022. My Journey Consulting was founded with Molly’s initials in mind — MJC, for Molly Jean Clarke — as a way to honor her life and legacy. This loss has deeply shaped my calling to help schools become grief-literate, equipping educators with the tools and confidence to support students and colleagues in times of hardship.
I am also currently authoring a book that highlights my own journey — as an educator, a leader, and a grieving mother — with the goal of helping others find hope, strength, and compassion in the face of adversity.
Our family’s agricultural roots keep me grounded in faith, community, and resilience. These same values guide how I approach every partnership with schools: with authenticity, relationship, and a focus on long-term growth.
✨ I partner with schools and communities to strengthen teaching and compassion, equipping every student, educator, and family to grow stronger—together.
